WBL experiences require the active involvement of students. You as a student must be fully prepared in advance when participating in these experiences.

It is important that you know your role and responsibilities and understand employer expectations. Students participating in WBL experiences are asked to do the following:

  • Research your career field of interest to gain as much knowledge as you can
  • Participate in career readiness workshops held at your school and in your community
  • Inquire with your career development coordinator to become connected with WBL opportunities
  • Understand and value the importance of WBL opportunities so your experience(s) can be beneficial when making career decisions

The Youth Business Connector is a tool that allows businesses and educators to connect linking students to WBL opportunities. Connecting with employers regarding their WBL opportunities can only be done through an Educator Member.
